M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering(Machine Design)

M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering provides the theoretical & practical background required in the industry. The course comprises of topics like advance manufacturing which gives the explanation of present theoretical manufacturing process occurring in the production industries. Metal forming gives the understanding of the basic processes occurring behind the manufacturing process like metal drawing, casting, forming, etc. CAD/CAM/CIM gives the computer aided application of the production and management process, where as quality system and reliability engineering gives the best working condition, production system, and best results which can be practically achieved in the industry. As energy is the most demanding sector in today’s world, the demand for this course has increased manifolds. Hence the need for a Master’s level program is urgently felt. Like Europe, India is also laying a huge emphasis in this sector. Its common knowledge that the world is going to finish its fossil fuel resources with in a few years. So this branch is made to innovate so as to conserve the non-renewable energy resources as well as the green house gases.

M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering

Computer Science has become one of the most lucrative and competitive course to study since its inception in Indian engineering schools, colleges and universities. Computer Engineering refers to the study that integrates electronic engineering with computer science to design and develop computer systems and other technological devices. Computer Engineering professionals have expertise in a variety of diverse areas such as software design, electronics engineering and integrating software and hardware.

Computer Engineering allows professionals to engage in a number of areas such as analyzing and designing anything from simple microprocessors to highly featured circuits, software design, and operating systems. M.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Power System)

An electric power system is a network of electrical components used to supply, transmit and use electric power. An example of an electric power system is the network that supplies a region's homes and industry with power - for sizable regions, this power system is known as the grid and can be broadly divided into the generators that supply the power, the transmission system that carries the power from the generating centres to the load centres and the distribution system that feeds the power to nearby homes and industries. Smaller power systems are also found in industries, hospitals, commercial buildings and homes.

The recent advances in electrical power systems have enormous impact on the way of power generation transmission and distribution. The worldwide power sector is in the process of reforms through deregulation and restructuring. As a result, the environment faced by electric utilities and their operating procedures have changed drastically. Extra high voltages are necessary for transfer of bulk amount of power over longer distances. The modern electrical power system is in the form of a large interconnected network for economy and reliable operation. 


This programme focuses on imparting education in the field of Electrical Power Systems viz Advanced Power System Operation and Control, Modern Power System Protection and Switchgear, Extra High Voltage AC and DC Transmission System, Power System Stability Studies, Analysis, Modeling and Simulation of power system equipments/ components, Substation Automation, Restructured Power System etc

B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering is considered to be the most versatile branch among all the engineering branches. It is the branch with a lot of diversity right from geotechnical sciences to structural engineering, environmental to hydraulics, transportation to hydrology. Civil engineering is a technology that includes numerous other disciplines that produce useful facilities for the human beings, including roads, dames ,waste disposal systems and other facilities that are used in our day to day life. Civil engineering is progressing at a fast pace as are other technologies. Civil engineering is the oldest branch of engineering which is growing right from the stone age of civilization. American society of civil engineering defines civil engineering as the profession in which knowledge of the mathematical and physical sciences gained by study, experience and practice is applied with judgment to develop ways to utilize economically the materials and forces of the nature for the progressive well being of man.


After completing B.Tech (Civil Engineering ) course, the student can get jobs in the government departments, private and public sectors. He can get employment in all major construction  project that are carried out by private firms and state or central government. A civil engineer plays a significant role in rural as well as urban planning and development.

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical EngineeringOne of the ore branches of Engineering, it deals with machines, their design, manufacturing and performance. Modern manufacturing processes have resulted into mass production of items at low cost ensuring high quality. Mechanical Engineers have a unique role to play in Power Plants, Modern Factories, Space, Automobiles, Steel plants. Increase in automation has widened the horizons of this branch beyond the conventional jobs.

Manufacturing is on the upswing in India due to competitive  labor and material costs, availability of technically qualified manpower  and familiarity with English language. For example, presently India   manufactures almost 1 Lakh cars per month, 5 Lakh two wheelers per month, which is 10 times more than what was manufactured 15 years ago. Leading automobile manufacturers like Toyota,, Daimler Chrysler, General Motors started operations in India and are focusing on making India a nodal export point. Software development activity, used very commonly in automobiles for design and analysis purposes, is being shifted to India taking advantage of our strengths in software development. Cvil Aviation in India is poised for rapid expansion in the next few years, with several new private operators entering the field. Maintenance of civil aircraft would open up considerable challenges and opportunities to Mechanical Engineers.

B.Tech in Agriculture Engineering

Agricultural engineering is an engineering discipline that applies engineering science and technology to agricultural production and processing. Agricultural engineering combines the disciplines of animal biology, plant biology, mechanical, civil and chemical engineering principles with knowledge of agricultural principles.

When the knowledge of engineering and biological science is applied to agriculture, it is called agricultural engineering. Agricultural engineers are responsible for designing agricultural tools and equipment as well as machinery and plants. These engineers can either specialize in designing power and machine systems (for environmental or agricultural purposes) or be involved in food and bioprocesses. Soil and water conservation as well as agricultural processing are some of their concerns. Agricultural engineers may work in R&D operation or sales or management.

In the past, nearly one-third of all agricultural engineers were employed in professional, scientific and technical services and provided consultancy services to agricultural workers and farming and agro industries. The rest of them were employed in other agriculture –related industries like crop and livestock as well as manufacturing and government concerns.


Demand for agricultural engineers is supposed to multiply almost as quickly as the demand for all other occupations. The global trend toward standardization of all agricultural products and equipments will lead to greater demand for agricultural engineers.

The increasing demand for agro-products, the efforts toward attaining greater efficiency in the agricultural industry and the emphasis of conservation of scare resources would result in higher job opportunities in this sector. Agricultural Engineers may perform tasks such as planning, supervising and managing the building of dairy effluent schemes, irrigation, drainage, flood and water control systems, perform environmental impact assessments, agricultural product processing and interpret research results and implement relevant practices.

A large percentage of agricultural engineers work in academia or for government agencies such as the United States Department of Agriculture or state agricultural extension services. Some are consultants, employed by private engineering firms, while others work in industry, for manufacturers of agricultural machinery, equipment, processing technology, and structures for housing livestock and storing crops.

Agricultural engineers work in production, sales, management, research and development, or applied science.

B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
